“I thought I would drop you a note about our experience with The Quadra Q4 Intense Pulsed Light System that we purchased from your organization. Rockingham Family Healthcare is a small primary care family practice located in southern New Hampshire. Having become concerned with problems with third party payers such as insurance companies, we decided to venture into services in which the patient would pay us directly. Adding cosmetic dermatological services seemed to be the right approach.

“However, being in primary care, our providers did not have the advanced knowledge to perform the more complex dermatological procedures using lasers. After researching various modalities, an Intense Pulsed Light System was the right avenue for us. However, many of your competitors had equipment that still required changing filters for different treatment protocols and also fine tuning the wavelengths for vascular lesions. Since our goal was to train registered nurses to actually conduct the treatment sessions, we were lured to the Quadra Q4 for its simplicity in both operation and maintenance.

“I am glad to report that the unit has great efficacy in removing lentigos (age spots) from patients’ faces and hands. Our providers usually do a double shot on the vascular setting at 13-14 fluence. This is repeated for a total of three sessions spread a month apart. We have also had success in removing an Actinic Keratoses. One 45-year-old, white female had significant improvement in full face photo rejuvenation after three sessions. Her lower rear jaw area had sun damage including irregular blotchy coloring. She was quite pleased with the results. There has even been anecdotal evidence that the IPL improved an active case of menstrual acne on one of our patients. We are in the middle of several hair removal treatment plans, but too early to establish conclusions. But one patient who had developed scar tissue on her chin from successive electrolysis treatments was extremely happy about the side benefit of the skin area blending in better since the IPL removed much of the redness.
